The Design Museum

Celebrating design’s capacity for creating positive change

We were invited by the Design Museum to create the print and digital campaign for the annual Beasley Designs of the Year exhibition. This exhibition brings together the very best examples of design from around the world created in the previous year, as voted by the public. Our concept ‘Designing a Better Tomorrow’ explores the role of designers as problem-solvers and confronts the issues facing our world through the power of design.

Inspired by the collection of projects on show at the exhibition, such as the pussyhat project which influenced an international women's movement, we created a transitional visual that simply and elegantly demonstrates design's influence within modern problem solving. We created a kaleidoscopic filter - a visual metaphor for the process of fragmentation and exploration that leads to understanding and discovery - and transitioned imagery from problem to solution.
