The BMW i3 is a truly visionary moment of design. Long considered one of the best electric cars ever made, the model brought zero emission driving to BMW for the first time. After unpacking the lengths that the team went to ensure that this zero-emissions vehicle was sustainable in such a rich and diverse way, we built a system to tell the story in its truest and simplest form. Inspired by Josef Albers's reductive Schablonenschrift (Stencil Font) sketches, and utilising the car itself as the canvas, we distilled the statistics down to numerical forms that celebrated the World’s most sustainable car.
