Beyond the Horizon, Accept & Proceed in Seoul
What does it mean to design beyond the visible?
To reclaim agency, reframe competition, and reset the horizon entirely?
At this year’s Long Black Conference, David Johnston of Accept & Proceed took the stage in Seoul to deliver a bold, reflective talk to an audience of 1,000 design leaders, students, and brand thinkers.Titled Beyond the Horizon: Creating the Future Through Brand Vision, the talk challenged attendees to see brand not as a tool of commerce, but as a force for shaping tomorrow.
Rooted in A&P’s Horizons model and illustrated through real project work, the presentation offered a clear call: if we don’t imagine new futures, we’ll be stuck inheriting broken ones.
The session closed with an open invitation—to meet at sunrise on a mountain, and begin again.
The future won’t wait.
Let’s shape it.
