The world we’ve been given to solve.

It’s a phrase as big as your horizons. The brands and visionaries we work with are worlds in themselves. We shape and strengthen them. But we – brands and A&P – working together, look at other worlds too. Climate change, sustainability, community, responsibility, love. Design is an energy for good and we have big horizons when we think about what it can do. Thank you for your interest in being part of Accept & Proceed.
When you choose where to work, we know your decision is layered.

The first important layer is the work we do. Collectively we believe we’ve been given a world to solve. Design and thinking and culture are a powerful set of tools for change.

When you join Accept & Proceed you will be given the power to influence amazing brands to do amazing things for everyone.

A second layer of reason? Hard to put in a job ad, easy to see for yourself when you come for an interview (virtually or in-person).

At Accept & Proceed, every single day, you will contribute to the success of a team and feel the energy of being a vital part of shaping the future.

The third layer are the employee benefits we offer. All team members receive healthy salaries, training, a great East London location, travel opportunities, time to creatively explore every other Friday and excellent career progression.

Senior Strategist

We are Accept & Proceed. Actually, we are Accept & Proceed and you. We partner with visionaries. People who hunger for radical ideas. People who like radical action. People who don’t flinch at the world we’ve been given to solve.

We design with both the analytic and the aesthetic in mind and strive to collaborate with innovative and pioneering brands - those that are aiming to be a force for good.

We are B Corp certified and a 1% for the Planet business, using our profits and growth as a means to a greater end.
Our business exists to support the lives of those involved and to bring about positive change through our work.

At Accept & Proceed, we are rationally optimistic about the future society we are designing for. We believe the role of design comes with great responsibility and we embrace it joyfully. Our team, portfolio and client partners are fully representative of these beliefs and our mission; to collectively reimagine the world. As a senior strategist at A&P you may find yourself contemplating the future of decentralised finance; the next evolution of AI-led healthcare, or how to improve impact storytelling for a global sports brand. You’ll be leading strategy projects from the simple to complex, bridging brand, design and business strategies. And you’ll be contributing to creative projects where the strategist’s perspective helps move creativity forward. You will also play a role in new business, bringing clarity and intelligence to many exciting opportunities.

Importantly, you’ll be a critical part of our interdisciplinary team, inspiring exceptional designers and channelling highly-collaborative client partners, adding clarity and accuracy to the design, creative and innovation processes. Your natural confidence and flexibility will come from deep experience leading and working in teams where harmonious collaboration is essential and a nimble attitude is an advantage. You know how to create an inspiring project environment, and are able to energise your teammates whilst steering them towards success.

Intellectual Profile

All of the above calls for great intellectual capabilities, people and leadership skills, empathy for the creative process, and high-quality standards. You are a good process leader, proactive, and an extremely capable communicator. You’ll be unphased by presenting and convincing at C-suite level, using your persuasively concise, natural storytelling ability and sharp and stylish writing to influence and impress.

Critically, you have the confidence to give clients the confidence to change. Your spark, gravitas and ability to confidently push beyond debate into speculation with clients demonstrates sound understanding of their environments and businesses, balancing the role of empathiser and provocateur deftly. The pressure of working ‘live’ in client settings - be it workshops, 1-2-1s or round tables - means you are fully comfortable with ambiguity, disparate inputs and viewpoints. You are an optimist at heart, using critical thinking skills on the fly to stress-test your opinion and outputs against a clients’ business priorities.

The Day-to-Day

- You’ll find effective ways to approach each project, identifying new perspectives on the challenge that will give our client partners a fresh take.

- You are comfortable leading day-to-day project planning, suggesting methodologies, conducting and capturing fieldwork, expert interviews etc. This may frequently involve directing junior members of the team (researchers, junior strategists and supporting PMs) and you enjoy the opportunity to expand strategic thinking in adjacent team roles.

- You’ll plan and implement numerous research methodologies to gather user and expert insights, translating them into tangible propositions and strategies. You know your tools and a broad range of research and analytical methods, applying them effectively and bringing also new approaches where they can be trialled.

- You’ll analyse research findings, identify and prioritise useful insights, synthesise workshop outputs, and sharpen them into directional inspiration for our design teams, lifting the quality of our new ideas and designs.

- You’ll also play a role in developing the Research Zone within our experimental workspace and lab, ‘Continuum’. You are culturally keyed in, curious and have a good understanding of trends, meaning you can quickly get to grips with the concepts and language of new subject areas. You enjoy directing trends work as much as you enjoy exploring how they will affect the world, and you know how to use them to inspire the design and innovation process.

- You’ll regularly evaluate creative work and build a reasoned case to support its development and direction, maintaining a solid bridge between strategy and reality. In team situations, you have a knack for succinctly capturing thoughts and expressing them to others, a strong design voice and point of view on where to go and why. As well as being passionate about great brands and great storytelling that can inspire the work, you believe great design creates impact, both in its ability to change the course of a brand, business or movement in the world, and you share this joyfully with your colleagues and clients alike.
